This is a pair ECC83 produced by Philips Miniwatt Heerlen Netherlands. The tubes have a the very early foil strip getters, long plates and copper posts, see pictures.The etched date codes are clearly visible. The early long plate Philips family is highly regarded; it is my personal favourite. Very healthy NOS specs! Tubes with matching systems; see test results.
Sonics
The acoustic properties of the long plate ECC83 (Philips family production) are legendary and widely known. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information. Excellent preamp valve, low noise, very smooth extended highs, very good in phono stages. Balanced and smooth sounding with liquid midrange, recommended!
