Description
Pair of Brimar ECC88 twin triodes, made by the Brimar Valve works, Footscray Kent.
These very nice tubes have a grey shield and halo-getter. The very strong tubes have balanced systems and have perfect tube-tube match. Both tubes are manufactured in 1961 (third week of February).
Reliable version of a ECC88 tube. One of the finest sounding and most desirable versions of the Brimar ECC88 series. I refer to the web for more information. These tubes are definitely NOT a foreign production like the later Brimar ECC88 tubes and they bear the Brimar etch codes (see pictures).
The tubes are thoroughly tested. The matched pair has strong test values that match the factory specifications very well and and both tubes have balanced systems. See test results below.
According to my customers this is the must have tube for the Conrad Johnson GAT preamplifier !!
