Description
Echo from the past; Perceive the mystery of the earliest Philips Miniwatt E88CC tube; 1956.
This is a Philips Miniwatt tube made in the first production year 1956 of E88CC by Philips in the Netherlands (Heerlen plant). The tubes have pinched waist shape and a D-getter. The tube has still good strong tube with matching systems. Very reliable, long life and low noise version of a ECC88 tube only used for military or postal purposes. The properties of the Philips Miniwatt E88CC are legendary and widely known. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information.
The tube is thoroughly tested. Although the tube does not test strong, the tube has acceptable test values and both systems are balanced. See test results below.
Test method
See Category Page.
Factory specification for a NEW tube: Ia = 14,2 to 15,8mA. Good from: Ia=13,5 mA
Test results*
The measurement data below show that the tubes are balanced. And fully in line with the factory specification of a new tube.

* Specified measurement data
I give no guarantee on measurements or different values measured on other tube testers or analysers. Just in case of mismatch of “standard” values of the different tube testers “standards”. My test results refer to tube data sheets provided by the original tube producers. (You’ll find them easily on the web.) And are measured with the specified test equipment.
