Very rare long plate Fivre 12AU7 !
This is a 12AU7 (ECC82) produced by Fivre in Milano, Italy. The tube has a large halo getter and long ribbed grey plates, see pictures. The tube is in beautiful condition! Very healthy tube with NOS specs! Tube with matching systems; see test results. The tube bears a C8 code. It is assumed that the tube is produced late 50’s or early 60’s.
Sonics
The long plate ECC82 tubes are considered as the better performing than the short plate versions. This Fivre iso exception; it is highly regarded for its sonic performance. Warm, clear with realistic space. Excellent tube for preamps. This tube most likely has never been used.
