Description
This is a ECC83 produced by Philips Miniwatt in the sixties in Heerlen the Netherlands. The tube has a ring getter on silver post and ribbed plates (Version I65), see pictures. Very healthy tube with NOS specs! Tubes with matching systems; see test results.
The tube looks unused and measure new ; see pics glas bottom!
Sonics
The early Philips Miniwatt ECC83 is highly regarded; deliver crispness and transparency. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information. Excellent preamp valve, low noise, very smooth extended highs, very good in phono stages. Balanced and smooth sounding with liquid midrange, recommended!
Note: if your system is to “bright” already, this tube is not a first choice. ECC83 tubes of Mullard, Brimar or Telefunken are to be considered in that situation.
