Description

ECC88 6DJ8 PQ AMPEREX HOLLAND 1971

This is a pair early ECC88 Amperex A-frame tubes made in Holland (Heerlen plant). They have the orange PQ label, indicating that they were selected for special quality. A legendary member of the ECC88/6DJ8 family. Tubes have grey shield and A-frame. Very healthy tubes with matching systems; see test results.

The acoustic properties of the PQ are legendary and widely known. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information.

Sonics

Excellent preamp valve, low noise, very smooth extended highs, very good in phono stages. Balanced and smooth sounding with liquid midrange, recommended!
