Pair Mullard ECC82 twin triodes, made by Philip Heerlen the Netherlands
These E182CC twin triodes are known also as ECC99 tubes. The tubes have a halo getter, copper grid posts and box plates, see pictures. They are long life tubes; 10.000 hours guaranteed lifetime. Very healthy new old stock tubes! The tubes are assumed to be new. The tube is perfectly suited as driver tube e.g. in stead of an ECC99.
Sonics
I have no experience with the tubes but this seems to be the general opinion on the web: …. I use an E182CC as an input tube for my SE EL34 amp and absolutely love the sound. I have tried 5687s and 7044s but prefer by far the E182CC……
Test method
Mutual transconductance, plate current, gas and shorts tested with: AVO CT-160 (Dutch army tester), Utracer3+, Philips 1532, RFT stabilised power supply and 2x Keithley 2700. Test conditions: Anode 150V, Grid -2V, Filament 6,3V, Rated Ia = 36 mA, Gm = 15 mA/V. AVO Valve Data Manual 23rd edition 1981 Before testing the tubes were burned in for 24 hours.
