This NOS pair 5814A tubes is made by Sylvania in USA. 

This military spec 5814A is a premium quality 12AU7A tube made by Sylvania. They have long grey plates (USA tube) with copper grid posts and a halo getter with typical support construction. The 5814A is a very reliable, long life and low noise version of a 12AU7A tube which is meant for military, professional or postal purposes. The tubes are manufactured in the sixties. The tubes don’t show signs of use!

The sonic properties of theSylvania 5814A are highly regarded for e.g. musical instrument amplifiers. One of the more dynamic 12AU7A’s. I refer to the threads on the web for more information. The pair combines two strong tubes with balanced systems and a good tube-tube match.
