Description
This is an early VALVO RED LABEL E88CC tube made by Valvo in Germany (Hamburg plant). Tube has silver shield and disk-getter. Very reliable, long life and low noise version of a ECC88 tube only used for military or postal purposes.The properties of the Valvo/Philips E88CC are legendary and widely known. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information. The tube is manufactured in 1966. This type is probably the only E88CC that was made in Hamburg.
The tube is thoroughly tested. The tube has good test values and balanced systems. See test results below. The tube has been stored in damp conditions; the gold coating on the pins therefore are not completely intact. This of course does not influences the sonic performance.
