Beschrijving
Very early Heerlen production !
This is an ECC83 produced by Philips in 1959 in Heerlen Holland. The tube D-strip on post getter, copper grid posts and long ribbed grey plates, see pictures. The tube is in excellent condition! Very healthy tube with NOS specs and balanced systems; see test results. This tube is assumed to be never used. On the NAT LAB has been etched. This implies that the tube was selected as reference tube for the Philips Physical Laboratories.
Sonics
The Philips family long plate ring ECC83 tubes are considered as the best of the best; “they bring the concerthal to your room”; deliver an open holographic sound stage with warmth and detail. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information. Excellent preamp valve, low noise, very smooth extended highs, very good for all HiFi applications. Balanced, warm and smooth sounding, recommended!
Test method & results
The tube has been tested carefully with the official Telefunken test set-up and our sophisticated test equipment. Please read our testmethod for the ECC83 tube family. The measurement data below show that the tube NOS and balanced. And fulfills the factory specs of a new/NOS tube.
