Description
Pair: Philips Miniwatt made in the Hamburg plant
Description
This is a pair early Philips Miniwatt ECC83 produced in Hamburg Germany. They have a tilted small o-getter. The codes I60 means that these tubes are from the first I6 version! The Hamburg production is highly regarded. Very healthy tubes with matching systems; see test results. The acoustic properties are widely known. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information.
Sonics
The early 1960’s Philips Hamburg ECC83 is highly regarded by serious classical listeners looking to improve sound quality. Very transparent and open sound with impressive speed and phenomenal high end extension, accurate bass as intended by the original recording. Excellent preamp valve, low noise, very smooth extended highs, very good in phono stages. Overall neutral sounding to a certain extend like Telefunken.
