Very early Heerlen production !
This is an ECC82 produced by Philips in1958 in Heerlen Holland. The tube D-strip on post getter and long ribbed grey plates, see pictures. The tube is in excellent condition! Very healthy tube with NOS specs and balanced systems; see test results.
This tube has an etch code indicating that the tube was selected for the Philips Physical Labs. (Nat.Lab means Physical Laboratory)
Sonics
The Philips family long plate ring ECC82 tubes are considered as the best of the best; “they bring the concerthal to your room”; deliver an open holographic sound stage with warmth and detail. I refer to the many threads on the web for more information. Excellent preamp valve, low noise, very smooth extended highs, very good for all HiFi applications. Balanced, warm and smooth sounding, recommended!
Test method & results
The tubes have been tested carefully with the official Telefunken test set-up and our sophisticated test equipment. Please read our testmethod for the ECC82 tube family. The measurement data below show that both tubes are matched and balanced. And fulfill the factory specs of a new/NOS tube.
