This ECC81 in reality is an Incorrectly labelled ECC801S ! The ECC801S is produced by Telefunken in Ulm Germany. The tube has triple micas, characteristic plate structure (see pictures) and copper grid posts, see pictures. Very healthy tube with excellent specs! Tube with matching triode systems; see test results. This is a super low noise tube! The Telefunken ECC801S tubes are the best sounding, best made and most valuable of all the Premium ECC81 audio tubes. This is the longlife, tight tolerance version of the ECC81/12AT7. This tube was made exclusively for governmental institutions and manufacturers of high precision gear.
